When Healing Becomes Another Cage

In this overload of information and a world that has become obsessed with healing itself, I wonder, have we swung the pendulum too far? Are we now oppressing ourselves, not with plain ignorance, but the accumulation of knowledge which feeds the illusions that our pain will expire once we do everything right?

Drowning in Knowledge, Starving for Wisdom

Years of learning, absorbing, and opinions being thrown at your face from every corner, and I’ve reached the point where my mind almost rejects new information.

Too much noise, and very little of that which truly speaks to me.

I’m tired of information and media that feels clinical, and sells the narrative that one size fits all.

I’m exhausted from mental concepts.

I crave stories that stir emotions.

I crave words that don’t make you feel like you are a project that needs to be completed by the due date, or else your life amounts to nothing.

I hunger for that which reminds me I’m a living, breathing, and already complete human being.

More Than Numbers, Labels, and Achievements

Where are we running towards? How did we come to this place where it’s a norm to sum ourselves up into numbers, labels, and who broke more ancestral patterns?

I’m not inspired by achievements that can be printed on paper.

I don’t want to hear the most impressive theory your mind can comprehend and verbally express on repeat.

I want to hear how you feel.

I want to know what your soul aches for.

I want to ask you when was the last time a breath entered your lungs freely, melting armor that kept your muscles captive for way too long.

The Glory of What’s Already Here

When do we start to live? When do we stop chasing concepts and start immersing ourselves in the sweetness of the air that surrounds us?

We glorify the riches of what’s yet to be attained, but we miss out on the glory of what’s already there.

What use is all this improvement, both on the individual and collective level, when the distance between us, as well as within us, continues to grow?

We don’t need to ascend to a higher dimension when we can’t bear the magnitude of a simple exchange of gaze between the two strangers.

We don’t need to become immune to the pain we carry, when it’s the very thread that bounds vitality and love we’re made of, and gives rise to what’s most human in us.

When we go so far, we’re not healing ourselves into the highest version we can be, but eradicating the opportunity to experience ourselves to the highest extent we possibly can.

A Different Kind of Wholeness

I don’t want a rigid life based on healing ourselves out of human nature.

I want the fluidity of life, where our essence moves freely, perfect as it is.

Those times when pain doesn’t take away from but illuminates the love you have.

That place where weightlessness melts into time, and all within you is forgiven.

The greatness of our days isn’t hidden in loud constructs of the mind, but in quiet immersion in the simple yet profound intelligence that already resides right next to, and somewhere deep within, us.

When silence fills the air between us, what comes alive within us?

    The Courage To Be

It seems as if the core of the human condition is a tension between what man chooses to act as and what he truly is. What would his life be like, if he wasn’t in defiance of himself?
