JULIJA RUART

I’m Julija, a Stockholm-based conceptual photographer and writer devoted to exploring the raw truths of being and becoming. My work is born out of a fascination with shadow, light, contrast, stillness, and the spaces where our inner critic meets our most authentic self.

I investigate emotion, identity, and transformation through imagery—portraiture and nature, often merging both—where texture and tension become metaphors for what we hide, what we become, and what we reclaim. In parallel, my writing weaves through memory, silence, and longing—pieces that are at once confession and invitation.

Every print and product in my shop is made locally in Stockholm. I believe in art born from slow, deliberate hands—because creativity deserves patience, intention, and care.
