Sound That Shapes Life

David Gilmour said, when answering a question about how some of Pink Floyd’s greatest songs were made, that they were moments that happened by accident.

How do you explain that a single moment can have such a profound impact on countless others that follow? A single riff, giving birth to a union of melodies, harmonies, and rhythms that shape moments and lives, in ways we can’t measure, only feel viscerally with every cell of our being.

Where do such moments hide? Those accidents that, at the time of happening, appear inconsequential, but end up altering worlds that follow?

When we fear and reject the uncertainty of life, when we hear it only as a rhythm of endless anxiety, where in that equation do we fit the unknown variable of moments that happen by pure chance, and take shape of sounds whose beauty echoes through everything on its way?

What in you is so bold to say you aren’t about to collide with a moment like that?

A flash of mystery, that doesn’t have to influence generations to come, but is enough to start the generation of your true nature, to arouse your world into blooming and ripening of something you want to listen to, and feel, with every cell of your living being.
